Instructions are very clear and easy to follow. However no lights show when the battery is first connected, which is what you would expect, and only shows when the probe is in brake fluid, and the setting screw is turned. The instrument has to be calibrated before being used using new brake fluid. Turning the screw brings up the two green lights, and has to be turned back to show only the one light. The instrument is then ready to use.
I used it check the fluids in my motorcycle, the clutch fluid was in a poor state and all instrument lights came on and an alarm also sounds.
This seems to be a professional piece of kit and is well worth the money.
